Graduate with a High School Diploma and an Associate Degree for Free!

Early College High School offers scholars the opportunity to graduate simultaneously with a high school diploma and an associate degree—no cost to you. ECHS is hosted through a partnership with Austin Community College and operates at seven AISD Early College High Schools: Akins, Crockett, Eastside, LBJ, Navarro, Northeast and Travis.

In addition to earning college credit—up to 60 hours—and preparing for future professions, scholars save thousands of dollars in college costs. ECHS scholars are enrolled in both high school and college classes and receive support from AISD and ACC staff to ensure that they are on the right track to a successful college career. ECHS accepts in-district and out-of-district student transfers.

–Eastside Memorial ECHS Class of 2020

"Being Hispanic, raised by a single mother and not having a father figure shaped me into who I am today.

Being part of ECHS was definitely a life changing experience because it gave me the opportunity to expand my education and opened doors for the future.

Earning my AA degree saved me a lot of money, and most importantly, time."
