Digital Citizenship

Technology plays an important role in helping us create a learning environment that empowers all of ¼öƬapp. As a district, we value privacy, security and transparency. We invite you to learn about the digital tools available to your students, as well as our commitment to data protection and internet safety by visiting the links below.

We are dedicated to ensuring that digital citizenship and internet safety skills are part of classroom culture at every grade level. We hope you will continue these conversations at home. We have a shared responsibility to speak with our students about how they interact online and to encourage healthy and safe digital habits. AISD relies on support resources from which revolve around the following topics:

  • Media Balance & Well-Being
  • Privacy & Security
  • Digital Footprint & Identity
  • Relationships & Communication
  • Cyberbullying, Digital Drama & Hate Speech
  • News & Media Literacy

Social Media

On ¼öƬapp’s wifi network, student access to many social media services is blocked. However, students with smartphones can use cellular networks to access all internet content and apps. Teachers have full access to all social media. ¼öƬapp continues to evaluate how social media can be used as an instructional tool.

We are very excited about how the transformative use of technology in ¼öƬapp will assist us in our mission to provide all students with the 21st century power skills we value most: collaboration, connection, communication, cultural proficiency, creativity and critical thinking. We hope you will join us on our digital learning adventure. Families and schools must work together.
